At the age of eight I received a "magic set" as a Christmas present. Although the "tricks" within this "kit" sparked my interest and were fun to perform they were all made poorly from cheap materials. It really would have been magic if any of these tricks could have stood the test of time. As the tricks became worn out, I also found my interest diminishing.
It was my aunt and uncle that "gifted" me with many professional quality magic ("tools of the trade") that really boosted my enthusiasm to become a magician. Using professional apparatus I was proud to practice to perfection and then show my talents as I fooled my friends and family.
Throughout my career I have built many shows and unique routines. Having researched many effects and illusions from simple to complex, from small to large, "things just are not made like they used to be." Most are manufactured poorly, often too hard to learn, understand or comprehend and are very expensive. Many of them are sold to "make a quick buck" without "true intentions to promote the fine art of magic".
As the result, for the "magic enthusiast", beginner or otherwise, I am pleased to offer a selection of quality, inexpensive, easy to do magic effects which can be purchased and performed by nearly anyone.
The ease of executing these effects will allow the "magician" to concentrate on thier presentation without much worrry about the mechanics fo the trick. RAINBOW CARD DECK / $15.00 Each
Magician displays a deck of cards. The cards are different from a normal deck, because all the backs are different. Magician removes two cards from the deck placing them face up on the table. Two spectators introduce the cards into the deck at positions they select. The magician removes the face up cards and the cards just above them. The pairs are found to be a perfect match for value and colour. For example if the face up card was five of Clubs, the face down card is five of Spades. Then he turns both the cards in each pair face down and the backs match perfectly, although all the other cards have different backs with no other duplicates. And for a final climax, the rest of the deck is turned face up and ribbon spread on the table. All the cards are found to be identical, and different to the two pairs. Supplied complete with the very special deck, and instructions, the trick almost works itself.
